Just wondering, can you have two players?
I'm a huge fan of games like Golf With Your Friends and Golf It, so when I saw this game I got excited. Visually the game is stunning, outclasses both GWYF and Golf It easily. It does come at a cost: 100% GPU Usage. I don't have the strongest system (Ryzen 5 1600, 16GB 3200Mhz RAM, RTX 2060 Super), but this felt excessive when most other games don't hit my system nearly as hard.
Graphics don't make the game though, the gameplay does. For the most part I found this to be a rather satisfying mini-golf experience. The courses were well designed and captured the mini-golf vibe. My biggest dislike was the inability to finely tune how much power you put behind a hit. It's basically up to the gods whether or not you get the hit you want, you might get the power just right, but now the penguin you're trying to avoid is right in your path! Or vice versa, the chance aspect on your power/timing doesn't feel good. I also didn't really enjoy the floaty movement of the camera, but that isn't as much of an issue as the power thing is.
I did have one issue during my playthrough and that was on the Lava level. My ball landed on some of the rocks behind one of the holes, clearly out of bounds, but did not reset. I had to reset myself.
Overall this is an alright mini-golf experience. Lower end systems might struggle to run this smoothly, and if you're a fan of the fine tune power adjustments you can do in a game like Golf With Your Friends, you might find the power system in Tee-riffic Golf unsatisfying. It's a short game, so if you're a fan of mini-golf I definitely recommend checking it out either way.
Hi, thanks for your detailed feedback. We are definitely going to be looking at what is causing performance issues.
As a mini-golf lover, I really enjoyed this game, and was quite disappointed there weren't more levels. But, the game itself is actually really good!
this looks great, do you have the specs for the game. im not sure if my toaster can run this
hey the_can, sorry for the wait we are just doing some tests atm to try and work out the recommended specs :)
